How to Calibrate a Pressure Gauge: Step-by-Step
Step 1: Inspect the gauge and connect it to the standard. Check the case, window, pointer, and process connection for damage or contamination, confirm the gauge is mounted in its normal operating orientation, and let the gauge and reference standard stabilize at 23 °C ± 5 °C.
Step 2: Perform “as found” verification. Record indications at each test point across the full span before any adjustment. As-found data proves whether process pressures logged before service were actually within tolerance.
