How to Calibrate an OTDR: Step-by-Step
Step 1: Inspect and clean every optical interface, then warm up the instrument. Scope and clean the OTDR port and all reference leads, and allow the instrument and standards to acclimate for at least 30 minutes at 23 °C ± 5 °C.
