Yes. Tra-Cal supports San Diego and Southern California through three intake paths: scheduled pickup and return delivery, prepaid overnight ship-in service to our Maryland laboratory, and onsite calibration appointments across North County, downtown San Diego, East County, and South Bay. The same ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation, NIST-traceable standards, and certificate format apply regardless of intake method.

Yes. Tra-Cal is ANAB-accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017. Our scope of accreditation is publicly searchable on the ANAB directory and covers the parameters listed on our scope page. Each calibration certificate references the accreditation and the laboratory standards used.

Standard turnaround is approximately 5 business days from receipt at our Maryland lab. Expedited service is available on request for time-critical instruments. We can also coordinate scheduled rotations so that defense, biotech, and medical device teams in San Diego are not waiting on a single instrument.

Yes. All calibrations are traceable to the International System of Units (SI) through NIST or other recognized National Metrology Institutes. Certificates include as-found and as-left data, environmental conditions, standards used, measurement uncertainty where applicable, and the technician and reviewer signatures required for AS9100, IATF 16949, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and FDA-regulated audits.

Yes. Onsite calibration is available for fixed assets, large inventories, and instruments that should not be transported, including shipboard, biotech cleanroom, and secure-area equipment. Our regional metrologists schedule appointments through Greater San Diego and along the I-5, I-15, and I-805 corridors, performing calibration in a controlled environment at your facility with full documentation.

Power down each instrument, include all standard accessories required for calibration, note any known issues or specific tolerance requirements on the work order, and pack in original cases or rigid containers with appropriate cushioning. We provide a prepaid overnight shipping label from the San Diego area to our Maryland laboratory and confirm receipt the morning after pickup.

Yes. Tra-Cal maintains your asset records, due dates, and calibration history, and pushes proactive recall notices ahead of expiration so that critical instruments at your San Diego, Sorrento Valley, Carlsbad, or Camp Pendleton sites are not out of tolerance during an audit.
